I have tried several times now, to upload a cute video of Eli and I "talking". For some reason it won't upload...but I'll tell you how cute it is. Not only did we get Eli talking with his little half laugh, but we also got Nicholas getting jealous in the background and becoming obnoxious. Ok, so I know you are really sad you can't see it. Maybe I'll try another one soon!
This picture was taken at the same time that the video was taken...just imagine his little voice cooing at you!
Besides talking to me, Eli also loves to stand up. Now, he can't stand on his own, of course, but he loves to stand and look around at everything! Here he is with Daddy.
Eli also likes to sleep. He usually sleeps between 6 and 8 hours, although he has done 9 hours and last night he even slept 9.5 hours. He is an amazing sleeper and I am so fortunate that we were blessed with him!
You might notice in this picture that he is sucking his thumb. Yes, he found his thumb...and as Ben put it, this is one of my biggest fears (ok, not really but I was hoping he wouldn't be a thumb sucker!). See, I have a theory that I can take a Binky away from him, but never his thumb. Oh, well. I guess God is telling me, yet again, that I'm not in control of everything. :)
We love our little Eli and I just can't believe how fast the time goes!

That is too cute! Christian is a thumb sucker, and I love it. No having to dig for a pacifier in the crib in the middle of the night. No making sure to pack extras in the diaper bag. Nothing to have to wrangle and wash every week. I had to pacifier babies and much prefer the thumb sucker, lol.
If he just now found his thumb, it was an accident and he probably won't make a habit of it. I think true "thumb suckers" start in the womb. Ben sucked his thumb once in a while, and once his big toe, all by accident.
It has been several times in the last few days. It is probably happening later because I've always kept the binky close! And he was sucking on hands and feet in the womb!
