Eli's Baptism

Last Sunday, the 22nd, Eli was Baptized. This took place at our church, Living Word Lutheran. His sponsors were our friends Kamie and Brenik Iverson. They have been attending church with us for quite a while now. The recently moved to Odessa and will begin attending a church there. We have missed seeing them every Sunday!
Here is Eli in his Baptismal outfit. It is the same outfit that Ben and Nicholas both wore, so I was glad that we were able to fit him into it. I was worried since Eli was Baptized a month later than Nicholas was.
Here is the whole group including Pastor Michael Wiser who comes to our church 2 times a month from Spokane. He also happens to be the Pastor I grew up with and Confirmed me so it is neat that he has Baptized both of our boys.

You will also notice that Eli is wrapped in a blanket. This blanket has been present at the Baptism of many babies in the Hesse family. It is now a tradition to wrap the baby in this blanket as they are Baptized. I love traditions like this!
We are thankful for the faith we have and the supportive church family we have been blessed with. Thanks to all of you who have helped along the way!
