See, Nicholas found the butter dish that was over by the sink. His reach is greater than I thought it was. When I came to check on him a minute or two later this was the scene...butter everywhere. Although, since he is a good chef, he mostly kept it contained to the pan...which was great!
Sometimes the cooking is real and is done supervised by mommy. On this particular day we had made some puppy chow (chocolate and peanut butter covered Crispix with powdered sugar). And as any good chef does, Nicholas always tastes the finished product. Today I was in the other room and I could hear Nicholas "cooking". Pretty soon I noticed the sound of glass and realized it was time to take a peek at him. Somehow he managed to get up on the counter, open the flour and sugar jars (note the lids missing) and spread the flour around the counter and onto the stove top. Of course after I snapped the picture I told him we don't get on the counter. Now the chairs are back to laying on their sides...until he gets over this fascination.
Yes, everyday is an adventure when you have a curious 18 month old boy.
On another note, we are still working on getting things ready for the house building. The well should finally be finished this week. We are starting the septic part and as soon as the design is drawn for that, it won't be long until our building permits are approved and we can continue along our way to a new home!
