Well, I woke up Tuesday morning around 3:45 to a weird noise coming from Nicholas' room. That mom intuition kicked in and I thought I better go take a look. Sure enough, Nicholas had vomited all over his crib. So, I called to Ben that he was going to have to give me a hand. He begrudgingly came to help. After doing a complete bedding change and giving Nicholas a bath it was back to bed about 4:30. Only to hear it happen 2 more times before waking up. Not the way I like to start my morning. By Breakfast time he was acting hungry so I gave him a few dry Crispix which he ate. So, an hour or so later I gave him a few more. I was thrilled he had kept down some juice and dry cereal so at lunch time when he acted hungry again I tried some toast and banana. He was pretty cranky so I put him down for his nap. He didn't sleep well at all and was awake early...and still cranky. A few minutes later he was throwing up...again. So, a quick call to the doctor and a phone call to Ben to bring home some Pedialite and we pretty much sat on the couch the rest of the day. Although that was the last of the throwing up, we have been dealing with the other side effects from the stomach bug until Thursday night.
On Wednesday night I was in a grumpy mood. Ben came home late without calling. I had it in my mind that he was late so he wouldn't have to help me deal with a sick child (although he said that wasn't the case). Well, when he finally showed up I was really grumpy. I finally admitted to him that now I wasn't feeling well. Shorty after that it was my turn and I was the one up all night. The good news is I know how to make it to the bathroom before I'm going to be sick! It was a long night and a very harsh bug. At one point I even passed out on the bathroom floor which freaked out both of us a bit. Ben said he thought he better check on me when he heard the loud thunk all the way from the kitchen.
So, Thursday Ben stayed home until nap time for Nicholas and I. This was great because Nicholas required 2 baths before nap and I wasn't in the mood to do it all my self. Ben also came home early to help me take Nicholas to the doctor. With me being sick and weak I was nervous to go by myself...plus I still wasn't feeling all that great.
Ben was wishing he had taken some pictures to post...ha ha. I'm sure that wouldn't be funny if he was the one that had been sick! I'm glad to report that Nicholas and I are both feeling much better and glad to be rid of that yucky virus. Stay away from it if you can!

I'm glad you guys are doing better. This week must have bene rough! We have been very lucky with Caleb and he's very rarely sick. He's only thrown up twice so we've been very lucky. Probably because the Lord knows I don't take it all that well! :)
