Hesse Christmas

Nicholas didn't have as much fun this Christmas as we hoped he would. He didn't have much interest in opening presents. We were lucky if we could get him to peel a piece of paper off a gift!

Who knew that poking Koa in the nose would be so much more interesting than opening presents?
He did have some fun with the paper.
Nicholas had more fun playing with the toys once somebody else opened them. He likes his kiddie mp3 player, train book and See N Say he opened at the Hesse House (among other things). I'm sure this will all change by next year and as Danelle said, "I like to open presents!"

That last picture looks like Ben's smile... just the same cheesy grin!

About the "not as exciting as we'd hoped" comment... At least he doesn't show a tendency toward having "gifts" as his love language, since his Daddy wouldn't even be considered "conversational" in that language, let alone fluent. Danelle on the other hand... (I think I am going to have to become more like aunt Amy for Danelle's sake).

Oh, and, on second inspection, I agree with Rachel.
