Some of you may be wondering if we are still here...Yes, we are! I guess we have had a few things going on lately.
Nicholas is still enjoying his "school." This week play time wasn't long enough as he didn't make it to the kitchen area until it was time to clean up. That was a little bit sad, until he found out we were going out side. One of the cool things about being outside at school is the airplanes. For those of you who don't know our pre-school is located on the old base, right next to the airport. So, all the planes fly right by and Nicholas loves planes right now.
Last Wednesday I substituted for my friend Kamie. Her Kindergartners were a very lively group that wore me out! I was ready for a nap when I came home, except Nicholas was up and ready to go. Now I really know why I don't teach every day...I would never have any energy left for my own child (among many other things!). Debbie took Nicholas to library time, so he still got to do his fun activity. He seems to do just fine without me, which is good or I wouldn't be so willing to sub now and then.
Sunday afternoon Nicholas and I went with Ben to the farm for a while. I talked Ben into taking Nicholas for a 4 wheeler ride as he really loves them. Debbie and I were standing outside while the boys were gone and I realized the pigs I was looking at were on the wrong side of the building. So, Nicholas' ride quickly turned into a pig herding session (I believe it is his first, by the way!). Debbie and I walked out and stood guard so they didn't get too far. Nicholas also enjoyed playing on the trampoline, in the dog's food and water and helping Grammie make dinner.
Ben has been very busy with harvest. With some equipment breaks and problems he has had some late nights this year. Harvest doesn't seem to be going as smooth as it did last year...you just never know how things will go. Tomorrow is Ben's birthday and I'm hoping the day isn't too hard on him! Maybe he will even get a chance to have birthday dessert some time this week!
Tomorrow is also my sister-in-law Angie's Birthday, so wishes go out to her for a happy day also.
I guess that is about all I have to report for now.
