About this time Ben got home and thought it was funny he got up on the table by himself. So, we sat and watched him for a few minutes. The funniest part was when he tried to get down. He got him self turned around with his legs dangling off the edge but couldn't feel the ground with is toes, so he thought maybe he should try to get back up. At this point Ben and I thought it was hilarious and were laughing until Nicholas figured out he just needed to go down (about 1 inch!).
Then, this is what you can usually look forward to:
He brings you the book (usually open like this) and wants you to read it. You can usually count on reading the same story at least 2 times, but often 3-5 times in a row. I'm ok with this (some are more annoying than others) but this seems to drive Ben nuts. He can't figure out why he would want to hear the same thing over and over...I just remind him it's very developmentally appropriate!
He likes to climb on things and sit on things that are at his level like his tractor and this chair:
This is another way I often find our child. He is a budding chef and likes anything that had to do with the kitchen.
And this is how he usually leaves the scene when he is finished playing:
Enough about Nicholas, moving on to our exciting news! Last night Ben and I signed papers on a 4.65 acre piece of land located at Road C and North Frontage Road. If all goes as planned, we should close on it in the next few weeks and then we can start the process of house building. We have a builder we are looking at, but have not met with yet. They have a floor plan we really like, so are hopeful it will work out!
As you can see, it has been yet another busy week for us!

That's exciting about buying some land! I can't wait until we can own our own place... I'm tired of renting and not being able to make the house how I want it!!
Congrats on the land Kelli! I'm sure you guys will enjoy the extra space. Things are working out down here as well, so it looks like it's the right timing for both of us! :)
