Well, another busy week has passed and it is time to update you on what we are doing.
I worked Tuesday and Thursday this week. Both jobs were 1st grade at Peninsula, but for different teachers. Working two days in the week made it a long week, but I survived just fine. Tuesday was an especially long day as not only did I sub, but I also had my Bible study after and my first Parent Education class following that. This class is part of the Pre-school Co-op I take Nicholas to. I left Nicholas at 8:10 that morning and didn't get to see him until 8:50 that night. He seemed to do just fine without me and has enjoyed spending time at the farm. I have a 1/2 day this Tuesday, then nothing for a few weeks (I think!).
Ben finished chopping corn on Friday (Hallelujah!). It was a very long chopping season with many equipment breakdowns that caused a lot of late nights fixing things. He is glad to be done with this and is enjoying a few days before they start combining. At least this doesn't usually have the rigorus pace that chopping has.
Yesterday Ben, Nicholas and I hopped in the car and drove to Pullman to watch the Cougs play. We knew it wouldn't be much of a game (and we were right!), but thought it would be fun to spend time with some family. The weather was nice with overcast skies, but not really cold. Besides a few drops at one point, the rain stayed away like I asked it to! During the tailgate party after the game, Nicholas had fun following his cousins around the campground and even mastered the art of taking food off of other people's plates.
This morning Nicholas woke up with a little bit of a cough, so we decided to stay home from church. It was kind of fun to be lazy as this is something we never get to do with Daddy. I made breakfast and we all ate together. We also enjoyed a walk and movie together before I cleaned the carpets one more time and we headed out to the farm. Nicholas did his usual exploring around and had fun walking through Grammie's leaf pile. He is trying to learn how to jump which is really fun to practice when you are on the trampoline. Of course he also went to check out what the pigs were doing and took a 4-wheeler ride with Daddy. That about makes a complete trip to the farm.
