I just had to take the traditional front step picture before we left this morning.
When we first headed down the hallway there were a ton of parents gathered by the door to the classroom and Nicholas kind of freaked out. He did the whole "stubborn donkey digging his feet into the ground" thing. As soon as we got into the classroom and he saw some of his friends and the toys he calmed right down. Things were quite busy there this morning and I didn't want to bother the teacher with a picture, so I tried to get one before I left.
At this point Nicholas was already into the toys and didn't want to have much to do with me. So, I snatched the picture and left.
And so it begins. Letters home about what they are learning and all the activities and info the parents need to be filled in on. Kind of fun. I like that his teacher included the songs they are learning so we can practice and a few fun sheets to do with our kids as we talk about their day. Nicholas told me that they painted (I guess they used glue sticks). He also said, "A like Alligator a, a, a." I guess he is learning something already! He also said, "I had a snack." When I asked what he had he informed me, "Cookies and some apple juice." Sounds like a perfect day at preschool!
