A New Camera and Nicholas

I realized lately that the reason I'm not taking many pictures is I don't really have a good working camera. One of our cameras was dunked in the fish tank by Nicholas. The other one I can't seem to keep the batteries charged for. They are constantly dead, even after just charging them (plus I have never been happy with the picture quality of this camera). So, with a new baby coming, I decided it was time to get a new one. So I did some research and headed out to get a decent camera that was still cheap enough I won't cry too hard if it ends up in the fish tank.

Upon coming home from shopping Nicholas was playing out side and I was doing some weeding. I heard the door close into the house and knew Nicholas had gone inside. So I finished the few weeds I was on and got ready to go in. Just as I stood up out came Nicholas to the sidewalk with the gallon of milk and his cup (both quite dirty on the outside since he had been playing outside!). I came inside to clean up the milk jug and pour him some milk when I found this mess:

I just love the look I captured. He looks mischevious, but like has that, "'What?, I didn't do it!" look attached to it.

I decided to keep practicing and take a few more pictures. Here is one I took in a dark room to see how it would turn out. Not too bad!

I couldn't help taking this one when his favorite show ended. He was a little upset that the show was over!
And for fun I had to get a bath tub shot last night. This one I was looking at how the camera did with bright lights (heat lamp) in a room and him in a white tub. The wall color even looks accurate, which it never did with my old camera!

Hopefully you will be seeing a few more posts with pictures in the coming weeks. I'll do my best to keep things updated!

I have had the same problem with pictures...batteries not staying charged, not the fish tank problem! Right now we're using Brenda's extra camera but I'm still not taking too many! :) It looks like you got a great camera. Enjoy!

I think that the bathtub pic is great! It would maybe be a finalist for the Senior year baby picture in the annual (if they still have those in 15yrs.)
