We also got a bunch of nice gifts and lots of diapers. I'm feeling more and more ready for this baby to make his arrival. I've been washing clothes, setting up the changing table and packing hospital bags.
The one thing we are not ready for is the naming of this child. We are lost in this one category and I'm not sure how we will come up with a name. Whenever I am out and about people ask me 3 things. How much longer? Do you know what you are having? Does he have a name yet? This last question really starts to wear on you when you are feeling stressed about the name situation. And it makes it all worse that Ben has no interest or sense of urgency about picking out a name (or at least narrowing it down to 2-3). So, there is my rant for the day...we must pick a name!
Yesterday I went for my 36 week appointment. I had a final ultrasound and the results seemed good. The placenta is not in the way and so labor should be able to go on like normal. They estimated his weight at 7lbs 1oz, but my doctor thinks he is between 7-8lbs now. She did an exam on me and not much is happening yet...which is good since I want to make it at least another week. I have a few things planned next week that I don't want to miss!
So, we'll see if I get another blog in before this baby comes, or if the next one you will be reading will be announcing the arrival of our second son...who by that time better have a name!

Whose baby does your mom have?
No worries about a name yet. My friend didn't name her second son until he was 2 weeks old!
Dayna...you are too much like your brother ;). He says we can bring him home without a name and I told him no...he will have a name!
My mom is holding my friend Wendy's baby. She is 2.5 months.
I think when my kids were born the hospital told me they couldn't release us until there was a name on the records for the baby ... not a concern for me but it stuck in my head.
If you wait, Nicholas is liable to name him ... something or another ...
Yeah, there's no name barrier to discharge these days. In fact, the discharge papers here would have "Hesse, Male" for the baby, and at OSU, it would have been "Hesse, Boy of Kelli", whether or not you have a name picked out.
They actually ask the parents at the 20 wk ultrasound (when they find out if it's a boy or a girl) if they have a name picked out. That's just way too early, as I see it. I'm all for seeing what strikes you after he's born.
Almost full term!
