Snow Tubing

A few months ago when we got our first snow, Ben took Nicholas sledding around the yard. He had such a fun time and has been asking to go again since that day. This weekend we were headed to Spokane and knew we would have a few hours one afternoon to do whatever we wanted. Ben suggested I find somewhere we could take Nicholas sledding. After a little research I found that Mt. Spokane opened a new tubing hill this year and that it was still open, despite the snow starting to melt. So, we packed up the snow gear and headed on our way.
It was exceptionally warm up there and quite pleasant to be out! Nicholas enjoyed this tubing experience about as much or more as the first sledding experience. Being pregnant, I didn't think it was the best idea for me to be tubing, so I took pictures and watched...and even sat in the car for a bit reading my book!
The boys had a great time and seemed to enjoy this experience! The first few times Ben took Nicholas down on his lap. Soon Ben realized that Nicholas was ready for his own tube.
He did really well in his own tube and giggled all the way down the hill. They had a tow rope there to tow you most of the way up the hill. Ben found this to be great since not only did he not have to walk, Nicholas hardly had to get out of the tube at all!

I think this activity will be on the list to do again next year. Nicholas enjoyed it so much and Ben thought it was pretty fun, too. Next year we will have to ask Grams to watch Baby Brother and Mommy and Daddy can take Nicholas for a big boy outing!
