Working in the Shop

With Ben and I working in the shop on the roof last week, Nicholas got to hang out with us quite a bit. The first few days we went he hated it. He would go into the office part and not come out. The noise from the saw working scared him a little too much. By the last day, he finally realized the noise from the saw was gone and it was safe to come out of the office. He quickly realized the shop can be a fun place to do new things...like climbing on a roof!
We took a break from being in the shop to go check on the pigs. Nicholas knows where the pigs are at the farm and usually runs right over to them. Here is a picture of Nicholas looking at the pigs. He has figured out that if he holds his hand up and yells AH! the pigs run. Well, they run the first time, then they just stand there and look at you!
By the way, Nicholas found this hat in the mud room of Grammie and Papa Lou's house. He decided he wanted to wear it so he took it to Grammie who adjusted it to fit his head!
After visiting the pigs it was back to the shop. Nicholas found the Manitou and decided it was his turn to drive solo. You see, Great Papa had taken Nicholas for a ride earlier that day, and so now it was his turn to "drive" without supervision!
We are glad Nicholas has finally taken to being in the shop. However, I have a feeling that the next time we are in there and there is lots of noise and sparks are flying around he will decide he doesn't want to be in there any more.
P.S. I forgot to say in the last post that many of the pictures of this project were taken by Kit on his camera phone. So, thanks Kit for bailing me out when I forgot the camera!

Something about that center photo that I just love. He looks so happy. And the camera angle with the sky back there -- nice pic.
