A fun mess was made!

Before I get to the title of this post, I have to share a few photos. Do you notice any resemblance in these two pictures?I think they just might have the same cheezy grin! Anyway, I had to share those cute pictures!

Sunday evening Ben set to work on his skunk trap. Nicholas was a "good helper" and mostly stayed out of the way.
He did help with the drill a few times.
The good news is, Ben's theory kind of worked. The first night a skunk ended up in the tub, but was able to get out of the tub. The second day, a bird somehow died in the tub (still wondering how that happened). The bad news is that we haven't had any more activity with the trap. We are on the look out for a skunk trap! At least we have the tub to drown them in now.
After lunch today Nicholas and I headed outside to do some yard work. Nicholas found a puddle while I was watering the garden.
Next, he found the hose and decided to clean himself off. He actually managed quite a shower for himself!
Then he decided it was time to help me rake the weeds. He was a bit of a mess!
Finally, we headed over to the flower bed to do some weeding there. He brought the little shovel so he could help me. Turns out he made more of a mess than anything! Notice my flower he is sitting on?
I wish I had pictures of me hosing him off. I think this was his first real hosing off. He was so dirty I didn't even take him in to the bathtub to clean up like I usually do. At least a fun time was had!

Someday this little guy is going to realize his good fortune in having a mommy who lets him be a boy, playing in the mud, eating it, and getting wet outside just for fun. Not all little boys are so lucky.
