Summer Fun

On Thursday we had a play date at our house. We had Holden, Kamie, Jamie, Bryce, Amanda, Natalie and Annie here. The kids had fun playing in the sandbox, and on our new (to us) play set. It was fun teaching them that the sand is supposed to stay in the sandbox! Nicholas needs some help knowing which way he is supposed to go on the slide. He likes to climb up it, instead of slide down it!

Friday Nicholas and I had a great time playing outside. He loves the new little sprinkler ring I bought for him. He even tried to drink the water as it sprayed up! He enjoyed the sprinkler out front also. He ended up sitting and splashing in the little puddle on the sidewalk. I got some good pictures and will try to get those onto the Kodak site later today.

It's time for an update on my garden (pics will be on the website later!). I have little zucchini and yellow squash! I got some pictures of the tiny little veggies just starting out. Ben was laughing at them, but I'm still excited to see my labor producing something. I think the pumpkins are just starting out, but I can't tell where the actual vegetable is. I think I will be able to see it soon. As you will see in the pictures I need to get some weeding done today!

Kamie called last night and invited us over for a last minute BBQ. Ben had to change out a gearbox on a pivot, so we were a few minutes late, but had a great time. They live next to a deer farm. Holden wanted to go for a ride in the wagon, so we loaded up the boys and pulled them down the drive. The deer come right up to the fence. Nicholas liked watching them. I forgot my camera, so no pictures this time. Holden wanted to pull the wagon and Nicholas wanted to walk, so they helped each other pull/push the wagon the whole way. I think it tired them both out!
