My parents came to our house for Christmas, as well as Ben's parents coming over for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. It was a bit of a "quiet" Christmas, but much enjoyed by all. Christmas Eve (Lou's Birthday) we hosted the traditional Kaufman crab feed. Even though I don't care for crab Ben thought it was a good idea...and honestly it isn't Christmas Eve without it, even if I don't like it! After dinner we all headed to Church, then back home for Lou's birthday cake!
Nicholas woke up Christmas morning to a room full of presents. After getting brunch in the oven, the first order of the morning was his stocking. It took some coaching to get him to reach in there, but pretty soon he figured out there were neat things in there and he eagerly reached in time after time.
A few weeks ago Santa came and visited Nicholas' preschool and Nicholas told Santa he liked trains. Well, Santa remembered and this was waiting for him...from Santa himself.
Nicholas loves playing with this set and we have already found many ways to build the track!
Another fun present was his hippity-hop. With some coaching from Daddy, we were all surprised how quickly he caught on to the concept of this toy. He loves hopping on it now!
Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jason sent another of the favorite gifts. This loader/dump truck set was a big hit with both Nicholas and Daddy. I'm not sure who was more excited about it! Nicholas got many nice toys from many people. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful presents. What a lucky little boy he is!
