Catching Up

Last weekend we went to Tacoma for my cousin's wedding. My "little" cousin Morgen married a wonderful guy, John, on Saturday evening. There was even a little snow that evening to make it seem like wintertime. The pass was a little snowy going both ways...which is to be expected this time of year.
Before we went to the wedding, we stopped by Dayna and Shane's house for a visit. Nicholas and Danelle had fun running all around the house. They actually payed attention to each other and had fun together! Friday night we made a trip to Costco so I could get a new camera. Our old one was really acting up and after trying a new set of batteries I declared it "done." We got a little point and shoot that seems to be getting the job done. I still have some learning to do about settings and such. Saturday we took the kids to the zoo. It was a bit cold, but since we were bundled up we were fine.
Nicholas had his pre-school Christmas party on Monday. Santa came to visit and gave a few of the kids quite a fright. One ran the other way screaming and another one sat in her mom's lap with her eyes closed the entire time Santa was there. Those were both 3 year olds so I guess that is what I have to look forward to. Nicholas didn't mind him, but wasn't going to close to him while getting his present.Note: this is the camera setting I need to check on. I remember reading something about fluorescent lighting...now to see what to do in those conditions!

Nicholas and I got all of our building and driveway permits turned in yesterday. I'm glad they are in and the process is going! After finishing that we stopped by the farm for a quick visit. Nicholas tromped around outside for a bit, rode in the tractor and on the 4-wheeler, but he was still sad when it was time to go.
I worked a 1/2 day this afternoon for a friend. It throws my day off a little, but it is a fun break from the everyday also. Nicholas enjoys having Grammie over (or visiting at the farm) so that makes it fun for him.
