The boys have only wanted to play with a handful of toys over the last couple of months. Even though the picture below shows the play room a mess, they have really only played with a few toys. Since Ben has been harvesting the toys of choice have been the chopper, old farm truck, combine, tractor and grain cart.
It all began with silage and earlage. It brought about lots of chopper play.
Then came the History Channel's Harvest show. I thought it was Nicholas who loved it, but then Eli took a liking to it also. Here are all of the boys getting into one of the episodes. Now when Nicholas plays harvest he uses all of the people from the Harvest show on his crews.
Ben only had to combine for a short time but it was just enough for the boys to get into it. Yes, even Eli must play combine. He insists on either driving the combine or running the tractor/grain cart.
I knew the boys would take to all the farm equipment. I just didn't have any idea that it would be the only things they would play with for 3+ months straight. They should know what they are doing by the time they are big enough to actually help with harvest!
